Most designers have different ideas on how to dress a man. Prada and Gucci have little in common when designing for men. With their latest Spring-Summer 2009 collection, one uncommon among them is the music for starters. Miuccia Prada sent out theatrically made-up youths, tiptoeing down a wooden runway as classical music played in the background while Frida Giannini of Gucci models ambled down a mirrored runway to blaring rock music both presenting for the menswear preview collections of the Milan runway. Prada’s idea of how a fellow should dress is more conceptual than real while Gucci’s is all about a fun-filled adventure. Wireless spy cams on cellphones can be heard clicking away alongside the runways.
